Jason Wyman is Queerly Complex
writing, art, and practices on loving fearlessly and living radically
Welcome.
Thanks for checking out Jason Wyman is Queerly Complex. I’m Jason, and you can learn a little bit about my name right here.
I’m an artist living on unceded Ramaytush Ohlone land in city named by Catholic Spanish colonizers and currently governed by the United States. My artwork is always political even when it’s just a pretty picture of something the intrigues me. And I wouldn’t and couldn’t be who I am without my amazing intergenerational community of Black, indigenous, queer, trans, disabled, immigrant, Japanese, Latinx, multi-racial, Chinese, Hawaiian, and no-label-can-define-me artists + activists + educators + librarians, aka comrades.
Here I’ll be posting mostly explicitly political writing, ideas, and practices to start. It’ll all be Queerly Complex, just like me. And political content will always be free.
I’m also going to start a subscription model. It will focus on my Queerly Complex portraiture and art. I’ll be venturing into the obscene and grotesque through image manipulation, selfies, and illustration. More on all of that soon.

Love Fearlessly & Live Radically
P.S. By comrades, I mean those who agree with this passage from the Tao Te Ching (translation by Stephen Mitchell, 1988):
When rich speculators prosper
while farmers lose their land;
when government officials spend money
on weapons instead of cures;
when the upper class is extravagant and irresponsible
while the poor have nowhere to turn—
all this is robbery and chaos.
